Dolby Atmos started pursuing the music industry market back in 2019. The beginnings of Dolby Atmos music were faced with great skepticism from many music producers and engineers. This panorama drastically changed in 2021 when Apple Music adopted the format. Since then, Dolby Atmos has been the driving force in the field of immersive audio technologies applied to music production. Proof of this is the fact that Atmos mixes are now part of the deliverables required by many music labels.
